Top Aces is a privately owned company and the exclusive adversary air provider to the Canadian and German armed forces, with a growing team of more than 40 fighter pilots from the globe.
Mission
To catch up with the growth, Top Aces was in need of a revamp to their current website by adding:

My Role
Working closely with Top Aces executive team, I was the lead designer to refine their web and brand experience. It was also a refreshing opportunity for me to work for a company in the air force space.

The Journey
a. Information gathering and conversations
The initial step was to set up interviews and contextual conversation with Top Aces crew to know more about the company itself, their brand and business impact, the motivation behind rebuilding the website, so that I can understand better the ask and expectation. Furthermore, to help us set up the tone and direction by respecting their brand guidelines and industry image.
b. Wireframing and moodboarding
Through rounds of revision on the new sitemap, I was able to sketch up some early structures to stack rank the content sections accordingly for the team review.
c. Assets creation
Thanks to the content support from multiple contacts within Top Aces creative team, I took the effort into assets creation such as illustrations, photo retouches, UI components and motion pieces to push the design potential.
V1 concept
Homepage
The V1 concept came with 3 diverse directions expressing differently the content hierarchy, visual composition and colour combination.
Delivery
We went through a few rounds of revision to make the V1 effort into final with mishmashes and experimentation, then the final delivery went live officially and you can check out their official site.
